7:45 Attendance, Lunch Count/ Table activities ( math investigations, question of the day, counting jar, small theme related projects, language arts follow-up or check-ups on mastery objectives). Moment of Silence the intercom.
8:15 Calendar and counting. Pledge and song.
8:30 Journals (Sharing stories, voting-math concepts, recording-the application of their letter/sound knowledge, conferencing-discussing their writing with the teacher)
9:30 Shared Reading work on concepts of print, phonemic activities, handwriting, word wall sight words, small guided reading groups, and poetry journals.
10:00 (Monday) Computer/ Math games);(Tuesday) Media;(Wednesday) Music. Thursday-Friday extended reading groups.
10:30 PE (daily)
11:00 (M-W) Theme Development (Read factual books, look at information on the Smart Board from the internet, Web, Vote, etc)
11:00 (Thursday) Computer/ Math Groups: (Friday) Music
11:20 (M-W) Check Out Centers: (Practice making choices; explore activities; learn to share and cooperate with others; learn to clean up after themselves; large project based learning will be worked on during this time. Integration of all learning areas will occur in Theme activities.)
