www.bartleby.com - Awesome website...contains reference, verse, fiction, non-fiction, and quotations.  You can access a number of classic books online.

www.poets.org - Created by the Academy of American Poets, this website has a poetry search engine, tips for writing poetry, and a list of poetry events.

www.loc.gov/poetry.180/ - One of the best groups of contemporary poems I've found.  Poetry 180 (a website and book) was created by Billy Collins, former Poet Laureate, so high schoolers could read a poem every school day. 

www.teenreads.com - Online newsletter just for teens.  This website reviews teen books and provides author information.

http://tln.lib.mi.us/~amutch/jen/index.html - Reading Rants...another website for teen readers that provides categorized lists of high-interest teen books.

http://teenink.com - National Teen Magazine...a magazine dedicated to publishing teen writing and art.

www.nytimes.com/pages/books/index.html - New York Times Books page...includes Best Seller lists, Sunday book reviews, and first chapters of new books.

www.afi.com - American Film Institute...I am a movie nut and include lots of movie clips in my class.  This website is great for movie information.  Check out the 100 Years Lists.

http://rogerebert.suntimes.com - This is Roger Ebert's movie review page.  We might write a movie review this year and this page is a great resource.

www.rottentomatoes.com - This website compiles movie reviews from across the nation and then assigns a percentage grade to each movie.  You can also find video games and DVD reviews here.
