As our school year begins, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Auburn Junior High School and to this class. I am very excited about working with both the students and the parents in order to ensure a successful 8th or 9th grade school year.

Reading List
We will be reading the following Novels in class. I have approximately 4 books of each title. (We are still in the process of developing our class library). If you would like to purchase the book for your child it would be greatly appreciated.

Breakfast/Snack and Lunch
Due to our late lunchtime, we will have a breakfast snack around 9:00 each day. Please complete the form enclosed to indicate if your child will be eating a box breakfast from the lunchroom or if they will be bringing a healthy snack from home. It is Auburn City Schools Policy that all food items that come from home are sent prepared and do not require the use of a microwave. Students will not be allowed to use the microwave at anytime throughout the school day.
Daily Parent Contact
In efforts to keep you informed, everyday your student will bring home a yellow folder. This folder will include a daily academic and behavior update, as well as, any announcements, notes, or IEP information. Please review, sign this folder everyday, and return to school.
