If you are asked to write a "Letter of Interest" for a scholarship, it should include the following: your name, where you are going to college, your future plans (major, career, etc.), and how you would benefit from receiving that particular scholarship.

Marsha Burns Burney Scholarship DEADLINE: April 18, 2008	open to any senior female varsity athlete (includes cheerleaders); must have been accepted to a 4 or 2 year college; financial need will be considered. See Mr. York (837U) for an application.
P.A.C.E. (People of Action for Community Enrichment) Scholarship DEADLINE: April 21, 2008	open to any senior; criteria include high academic achievement, community involvement and financial need. See Mr. York (837U) for an application.
James A. Roberts and Stewart Bennett Memorial Scholarships DEADLINE: April 23, 2008	open to any senior; must have a 2.5 GPA to apply; essay, recommendation letters, and financial need will be considered. See Mr. York (837U) for an application.
Joshua David Gardner Memorial Scholarship Endowment DEADLINE: Applications are accepted from October 1, 2007--April 30. 2008	open to any senior currently enrolled in--or accepted into--an Historically Black College or University (HBCU) with a minimum GPA of 2.8; must be a full-time HBCU student or provide an acceptance letter; minimum 19 ACT or 900 SAT; also requires an application and an essay. Kids Chance Scholarship Fund DEADLINE: May 1, 2008	open to any senior who has parents that have been killed or permanently and totally disabled while on the job. See Mr. York (837U) or visit the website www.alfinc.org for more information.
