throughout (including quotations, notes, and lists of words cited)

If
handwritten, skip every other ruled line.
IV.
Heading and Title
A.
A
research paper does not need a title page.
B. Type your name, your instructor's name, the course number, and date on separate lines, double-spacing between lines (one inch from the top of the page and flush with the left margin).

Double-space
again and center the title.
D.
Double-space
between the lines of the title (if multiple), and double-space between the title
and the first line of the text.
E. Do not underline your title or put it in quotation marks or type it in all capital letters.
V.
Page Numbers
A.
Number
all pages consecutively throughout the research paper in the upper right-hand
corner = 1/2 inch from the top and flush with the right margin.
B.
Type your
last name followed by the page number.
C.
Do not
use the abbreviation p. before a page
number or add a period, a hyphen, or any other mark or symbol.
D.

Works Cited Page
A.
The page
number should appear in the upper left corner (it should be a continuation of
the page numbers for your paper).
B.
Center
the title, Works Cited, an inch from
the top of the page.
C.
Double-space
between the title and the first entry.
D.
Entries
should be listed in alphabetical order.
E.
Begin
each entry flush with the left margin.
F.
If any
entry runs more than one line, indent the subsequent line(s)1/2 inch (5 spaces
or tab once) from the left margin.

Double-space
the entire list, both between and within entries.

Continue
the list on as many pages as necessary.
