2001 District Convention
This year's convention theme was "Mission: Possible," and we all thought the district officers did a commendable job of carrying out the theme throughout the convention. The Ramada Beach Resort was our home for the convention yet again. Much has changed, unfortunately, as the restaurant and indoor pool have both been demolished. The staff was just as friendly as ever, though: We even involved the security officers in a few of our late-night "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" games out by the pool.

While the other civitans were sleeping, the AHS civitans headed to the beach for some late-night practice for the Lack-of-a-Better-Name Games. Their hard work and dedication paid off the next morning. |

We tested our batting skills (and bravery) in the super-high-speed baseball batting cages. Those badboys were flying at us at over 75 mph! |

We were dressed up and looking snappy at the banquet on Saturday night. We didn't even know we were about to win the Club of the Year award! |

The ride home was punctuated by us grabbing a "Civitan Rodeo" poster from a gas station in Opp. Oh, those were fun times.... |
