Stories from Around the World

Your job today is to find a pourquoi story from anywhere in the world.  Remember that pourquoi stories explain how or why something occurs.  (The Persephone myth is an example because it explains the changing of the seasons.)  Feel free to do internet searches to find an appropriate story.  You may want to choose a story from a certain geographic area.

After you find a story, complete the following.

1)      Highlight the text of the story and cut/paste it into a Microsoft Word document.  (If the text is coming from a page with lots of graphics, use the PASTE SPECIAL (then UNFORMATTED TEXT) command.

2)      At the top of the page, put your name, English 10, Mr. Pennisi

3)      Print the document.

4)      Answer the questions on the handout.

5)      On the back of the handout, mark the location of the myth clearly.

If you don’t finish by the end of the period, this is due Monday.
