Students in Precalculus and Algebra III will be receiving an application in the coming months to apply for membership into Mu Alpha Theta. 

Letters of acceptance will be delivered in February 2010.

WHAT IS MAΘ?

Mu Alpha Theta is the National High School and Two-Year College Mathematics Honor Society with over 75,000 student members in more than 1,500 schools. We are dedicated to inspiring keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject ,and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics in high school and two-year college students.

HOW TO JOIN

In order to be considered for membership, a student must fulfill these requirements and complete an application for admittance that they can get from their teacher:

1.  Completion of Algebra IA and IB, Geometry, Algebra II w/Trig

2.  Enrollment in Algebra III with Stats or Precalculus

3.  At least a 3.5 GPA in Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II w/Trig

MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES

Pay Membership Fee of $10

Attend Initiation Ceremony in the Spring

Attend Chapter Meetings

Vote in Chapter Elections
