ANNOUNCEMENTS The application deadline for this year was on 2/17/2012. We are now processing the applications for the fall and spring semester. You will receive an email confirmation in late February/early March if you are accepted into the honor society.
If you have a T-shirt idea for the spring, submit your ideas to Mrs. Turner.
WHAT IS MAΘ? Mu Alpha Theta is the National High School and Two-Year College Mathematics Honor Society with over 75,000 student members in more than 1,500 schools. We are dedicated to inspiring keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics in high school and two-year college students.
HOW TO JOIN In order to be considered for membership, a student must fulfill these requirements and complete the online application (link is above):
1. Completion of Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II w/Trig 2. Enrollment in Algebra III with Stats or Precalculus 3. At least a 3.5 GPA in Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II w/Trig
MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES Pay a one time only Membership Fee of $25 Attend Chapter Meetings Vote in Chapter Elections
