In the studio:
The
anchors write/read out and present news stories on camera.
In the newsroom:
Once the leads have finished filming for the
day, they will become reporters in the classroom, working on highlights or
advisory stories, or perhaps the final project.
If you are in this role, you will be graded on the following:
- Student
will gather information for stories by interviewing/researching topic.
- Student
will write script for show.
- Student(s)
will read stories on camera with the help of a VideoPrompter
- Student
will be responsible for reading and familiarizing (or even memorizing) news
scripts before broadcast program begins
- Student
will gain confidence for speaking on camera
- Student will learn professional on-camera speaking
techniques
