Officer Responsibilities
President: The president runs the club. He/she must organize and plan for meetings, be in close contact w/ the sponsors and other officers, help with paperwork, and devote a great deal of extra time to handling innumerable details, organizing, etc. This year the president may also be involved in establishing a Government Club contact at AJHS
Vice President: The Vice President typically handles whatever the president needs help with. This may include making signs for meetings, making phone calls, and whatever else is necessary. The VP also runs meetings when the president is not present. This year, the VP may be very involved in establishing a Junior Government Club at AJHS.
Secretary: The secretary must take meeting minutes, type them up, and distribute them to all officers. He/she is also responsible for keeping track of meeting attendance and who has turned in what forms
Treasurer: The treasurer must be in contact with Mrs. Wood about club finances and keep a treasury report. He/she needs to keep track of how much money the club has and is planning to spend throughout the year, and thus how much students need to contribute.
Parliamentarian: The parliamentarian is in charge of keeping order at meetings.
Historian: The historian must take pictures throughout the course of the year and compile a club scrapbook at the end of the year.
7th/8th officer: This officer will be in charge of organizing affairs related to junior youth leg at AJHS
