Tutoring, Graduation Exam Preparation Schedules

The after-school tutoring program begins September 7, in Room 217 from 3:15-4:15 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons for the remainder of the school year. The current schedule is for English tutoring on Tuesdays, math and science on Wednesdays, and social studies on Thursdays. A late bus is available for students.

Students who need help with graduation exam objectives may work in the 217 lab on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons with computer tutorials. Students in the Class of 2006 who have not passed all sections of the exam are eligible to receive special tutoring prior to each testing period (September, December, March) and can call Dr. Betty Burgess (821-5786) to get more information. We will have graduation exam workshops from 8:30-11:30 on February 25 and March 4, the two Saturdays immediately prior to the March testing. We encourage all sophomores, who will be taking the test for the first time, as well as any juniors and seniors who have not passed the test to attend these workshops. We will also have a summer graduation program for five or six weeks for students in the Class of 2007 who have not passed all sections of the exam after the March testing.

Students with excessive unexcused absences can attend our AAA Saturday program from 8:30-11:30 (dates listed on the calendar) to avoid receiving an FX (failure due to absences) in any of their classes. Students will register for this with Ms. Coleman at the front desk in the main office.
