SMOKING AND TOBACCO USAGE ON SCHOOL PROPERTY
To promote the welfare of the young people entrusted to its care and in recognition of the acknowledged harmful effects of cigarettes and other tobacco products both to the smoker and those around him/her, the Board prohibits smoking and use of other tobacco products in all buildings of the Auburn City Schools and while on duty at all school activities.
Smoking and the use of other tobacco products are prohibited on the grounds of all Auburn City Schools facilities at any time.
The policy applies to students, employees of the Board and to visitors on the property of the Auburn City Schools. Smoking and tobacco usage policies, which are part of the student behavior code, are extensions of this policy and are not limited by its scope.
