VACATION LEAVE
Vacation leave with pay at the rate of 10 days per year is provided for persons employed on a twelve-month basis.
Vacation leave must be approved in advance by the employee’s supervisor. Vacation Leave in excess of 5 consecutive days must be approved by the employee’s supervisor and the Superintendent.
Vacation leave may be accumulated up to a maximum of two years accrual.
No extra compensation in lieu of vacation will be paid. An employee leaving the services of the school system in accordance with contractual obligations is entitled to accrued leave not to exceed twenty days. This terminal leave shall not extend the employee’s contract.
When a holiday occurs during a vacation, the holiday will not be considered a day of vacation time.
