TRESPASSING AND VANDALISM

 

While parents, students and the community at large are encouraged to use school playgrounds in a fair and appropriate manner, any unauthorized person, without official reason, who loiters in and around school buildings or on school campuses, shall be declared as trespassing. School administrators are authorized to seek aid from law enforcement agencies, as necessary, to prosecute such individuals.

Employees shall report any incident of vandalism, including the names of those responsible, if known. Those who engage in acts of vandalism shall be prosecuted. Parents or guardians shall be held accountable for payment of damages or stolen items in the event the acts are committed by minors.

In addition, students who engage in trespassing or vandalism on school campuses shall be disciplined in accordance with provisions of the Statement of Responsibilities for School Personnel, Parents/Guardians, and Students.
