EMERGENCY CLOSINGS

The Board authorizes the Superintendent or his/her designee to close any or all schools if prevailing or potential hazards threaten the safety and well being of pupils, staff, or school property. If practical, the Superintendent shall make the decision after advising with appropriate community agencies. Public announcements and releases to news media shall be made by the Superintendent or designee.
