BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS

The Superintendent shall recommend to the Board for condemnation school buildings, which are unsanitary and unfit for use. He/She shall recommend for repairs, purchase of playgrounds, school grounds, school sites and buildings, or the sale of the same, and shall prepare, or cause to be prepared, all plans and specifications for the remodeling of old buildings and construction of new buildings. He/She shall recommend, in his/her discretion, to the Board an architect or architects to assist in the preparation of plans and specifications for remodeling buildings, for the construction of new buildings and shall supervise such remodeling and construction.

All permanent changes to the basic structure of a school building shall be approved by the Board.
