BONDED EMPLOYEES
The Board requires the Superintendent and designated Custodian of School Funds to be bonded in an amount fixed by the State Superintendent of Education by a reputable surety company authorized to do business in Alabama. A certified copy of such bond shall be placed on file with the State Department of Education.
The Superintendent shall be responsible for securing surety bonds in an amount of $5,000 for all employees of the school district who may be charged with the responsibility of handling public and non-public school funds. The Board shall be authorized to make payment from public funds for such surety bonds.
