As we move into the flu season the
Auburn City Schools' administration and principals want to assure
parents that we are following all the safety guidelines provided by
the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Control. We
have been informed that diagnosed flu cases across the state are
being identified as H1N1. As a result we have had several children
diagnosed with H1N1. We will treat this as we do with any seasonal
flu. Parents are asked to keep their children with flu symptoms home
until they are fever free for 24 hours without any fever-reducing
medication. Extra cleaning measures are in place at each school and
the importance of hand washing is being emphasized to the students.
Based on our current situation schools will remain open. Please
refer to the Auburn City Schools' website for more information at
www.auburnschools.org. Thank
you for working with us on this matter.
