AHS BASEBALL PROGRAM STRUCTURE

AHS Baseball has 4 teams:

Varsity

• Head Coach- Matt Cimo
• Assistant Head Coach- Tommy Carter

Team is primarily made up of juniors and seniors.  At the coach’s discretion, a sophomore or freshman may play on the varsity team.

Junior Varsity

• Head Coach- Jason Davis
• Volunteer Assistant – Billy Ramsey

Team is primarily made up of sophomores but can use freshman at the coaching staff’s discretion.  A freshman may be called up during the year if they are needed for play on the JV squad.  A freshman would have to be a regular player to play up on this team.  No junior or senior athletes are eligible for this team.

8^th Grade / Freshman

• Freshman Head Coach- Chris Spencer
• 8^th Grade Head Coach - Josh Cumberland
• Volunteer Assistant – Matt Blagburn
• Volunteer Assistant – Jonathan Rasberry

These teams can be made up of freshman and 8^th grade players.  A sophomore may play in a freshman game if the coaches determine a need in a particular situation.
