Team Camp Jan 11-14 from 5-6:30 at the Wire Road Soccer Complex

This camp involves ball work - consequently no HS coaches can be present. The DOC (Director of Coaching) of Auburn Thunder, Jenny Ferguson, runs this camp. This is NOT mandatory due to fact that Jenny must, according to City policy, charge a fee ($7.50 per session of $30 for the week). But it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED due to the fact that any work with a soccer ball is better than working without it (running)...no better way to get ready for tryouts than this camp.

Paperwork will be given out Wed-Fri of this week. There is an information sheet with a Waiver on the back that must be turned in at the camp. Have your daughter bring her own ball and water.

Bodyweight exercises (warm-up for a minute or two first!)

You can build a simple workout by following the 3-2-1 principle:

3 = pick 2 strength exercises and alternate for 45 seconds each x 2 (3 minutes)

2 = pick 2 cardio exercises and alternate for 30 seconds each x 2 (2 minutes)

1 = pick 2 abdominal exercises and alternate for 30 seconds (1 minute)

Do this "circuit" 3 times (using different exercises for each circuit) and you'll have a solid bodyweight workout of about 20 minutes (stretch for a minute or two afterward)

This is done with little to no rest between exercises/circuits...

Focus on quality of movement over quantity!
