PROGRAM
Students in this course will improve their reading skills by consistent reading practice and demonstrating comprehension and interpretation of what they read. Each grading term, students will focus on one novel, while learning reading tools they can use in all subjects.

During March and April, students chose to read Anne Fienberg's, Number 8.

In January and February, students read S.E. Hinton's second novel, That Was Then, This Is Now.

GRADING
Averages for students in this course are determined on a total-points system, reflecting points-earned out of points-possible. At any point in the term, students can complete the following equation to get an idea of their current average.

Points earned / Points possible = ___ (multiply by 100 for percentage score)
