Students are expected to practice individually a minimum of 20 minutes per day (5 days a week) to be prepared for all in-class activities and performances and to be successful on periodic playing tests. Please note above that practice records are to be handed in periodically for a 100-point test grade. Please establish a daily practice routine to be completed with homework for other classes.
The weekly participation grade is determined in regard to in-class rehearsal behavior and as a result of students coming prepared with instruments, notebooks, pencils, and all class materials. Points that are earned on a daily basis are accumulated for the weekly participation grade.
