Alabama All-State Band Auditions
Auditions for All-State Band will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008. This is also the audition for the District Honor Band.
Students are encouraged to audition for these groups. The auditions are somewhat strenuous, but any student who practices diligently can do well.
Students who plan to audition should begin preparing for this audition NOW!!! The best way to begin practicing at this time is to practice scales. Click on the link below for a listing of the scales that are required for the auditions. If you begin memorizing these scales now and learn one per week, the task will not be a burden. Remember...students who play their scales perfectly for the audition score much higher and have a better chance than those who neglect scales and only practice the musical exercises.
The exercises for the audition will not be ready until September. Students will be notified in class when this music is available.
