Behavior Expectation and Consequences

All parents and students must read the school rules in the students’ handbook. We will be reinforcing all rules and regulations in class.

If a student has an excused absence he/she must make up the work missing and it is his or her responsibility to request a day and time to make up the work.

Rules

I will expect each student to follow the following rules:

  1. Be polite. Show respect for the teacher and classmates.
  2. Be in his/her seat with class materials ready when the tardy bell rings.
  3. Follow directions at all times. Raise his/her hand if there is a question or concern.
  4. Stop talking when class begins.
  5. Keep her/his hands to herself/himself. Do not write on desks, board, walls, etc.
  6. Do not chew gum or eat in class.

Consequences

If any student’s conduct inhibits other students from learning or prevents me from teaching; appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken.

The first time a student violates a rule he/she will be warn.

The second time I will contact the parent by phone, e-mail, or a written note, and I will request a Parent-Teacher conference to address the problem.

Any continued misbehavior or violation of any classroom rule will result in a written office referral.

I will work with you and your child to the best of my abilities. Please feel free to contact me in any way, if you have a concern.
