Writing

This year we will be holding writing workshop all year on white days. That means that a majority of our class time on white days will be devoted to discussing writing in the form of mini-lessons and then actually writing. Writing will take the form of brainstorming, drafting, revising, conferencing, editing, and finally publishing pieces of writing. 

Students will be expected to finish at least three pieces of writing each nine weeks.  The first nine weeks I will require a descriptive piece, a memoir, and a free choice piece. If a student completes more than the required number of pieces he/she will be able to select the best papers to be graded.  The links below relate to the first nine weeks assignments.
