This is the original Auburn High School Band in 1936. They are standing on the steps of Lee County High School, which in 30 years officially became Auburn High School. The building now houses Auburn Junior High School. The original AHS Band members are, from left to right; 1st row; John C. Ball, Seddon Lee, Frank Wilmore, Jim Flanagan, James Allgood, Joe Hare, W.J. Isbell, Billy Tamblyn, Harold Blackburn, Lan Lipscomb, Fred Allison, David Winters, Clark Hudson; middle row; Band Director Mr. Lawrence Barnett, Jack Hill, John Scott, Ferrell Williamson, Charles Hickson, Shel Toomer, Albert Thomas, Homer Wright, Rene Bidez, Redding Sugg, LCHS Principal J.A.
