The Auburn Band Parents Association is beginning a new Band Website. Our intent is to have a more up-to-date site that can be used to quickly access current information. This historical site will remain intact with much of the history and old concerts for people to see and enjoy. To access our new website: For everyday AHS Band announcements, please visit the AHS Band's website at http://www.auburnschools.org/ahs/rlogan/. You will be able to find forms, band calendar and current band announcements.
Welcome to the historical homepage of the Auburn High School Band! The Band is made up of nearly 200 students in grades 10 - 12 at Auburn High School in Auburn, Alabama. Auburn High School's band program is made up of one marching band, two concert bands, and one jazz-rock laboratory band. The Bands have been recognized nationally as being some of the top ensembles of their kind at the high school level, best illustrated by the Bands being awarded the highest commendation that can be given to a high school band program, the Sudler Flag of Honor. Please browse this site to learn more about the Auburn High School Band program. Descriptions of the concert ensembles can be found in the concert section, and descriptions of the Marching and Lab Bands can be found in their respective sections. A 29 hour audio library of music played by the Honors Band may be perused in the music section. A partial list of the Band program's awards and honors is located in the Awards section, as well as information on individual student awards. The photo section provides a photogallery of the band with photographs of the band dating back to the Bands' founding in 1936. A brief history of the band can be found in the History section. The Member Info section contains information that may be useful to current members of the band, including the AHS Band Handbook, the band calendar, information on upcoming trips and performances, and information on how to contact the band directors and officers. This site attempts to be an online corpus of all AHS Band information, and as so, it would be appreciated that any additional information on the program that any reader may have, or any errors that the reader may spot, would be reported to rlogan@auburnschools.org. |
